Challenge

Communicate to a highly skilled audience the basic technique required to operate the RBi2, the world’s leading Biopsy System used in the diagnosis of Hirschsprung Disease.

What went on

The task involved working with Australian medical company AUS Systems (through Otto Studios) to script an Instructional video on how to correctly use their RBi2, the world’s leading Biopsy System used in the diagnosis of Hirschsprung Disease.

What a terrific challenge for a writer!  I’ll say this from the outset: I don’t have any more experience with rectal biopsy devices than the average person.  Mind you, this was irrelevant.  The messaging needed to reflect a clear understanding of the RBi2’s impressive functionality. 

It also required taking some seriously complex source material and creating an intelligent how-to narrative that not only connected with its audience, but also kept them engaged for nine minutes.
